Participants

We have an interdisciplinary research approach, starting with an examination of the discourses on security, privacy, and open data in different data sources, continuing with a decision analysis and development of decision support models and tools. Therefore the project is a collaboration between researchers from different fields, involving five different institutions in the Netherlands,  Sweden, and and the US. Four researchers participates actively in the project;

  • Karin Hansson, PhD, the Department of Computer and Systems Sciences, Stockholm University, project leader and participating researcher, contributes with expertise in online participation, and will especially look at processes of aggregated credibility in participatory produced open data.
  • Love Ekenberg, Professor in Computer and Systems Sciences, Stockholm University, will contribute to the development of decision analytical methods and tools for policy formation under multiple criteria and stakeholders.
  • Jussi Karlgren, Adjunct Professor of language technology at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH). Karlgren’s will contribute with expertise in information access, distributional pragmatics.
  • Juho Lindman, PhD, Associate Senior Lecturer (tenure-track) at the Department of Applied IT, Gothenburg University. Contributes with expertise related to open data service design, related business models and social production in general.
  • Oliver Popov, Professor in Computer and Systems Sciences, Stockholm University. His research focuses on security, data and systems integrity, and cyber forensics and their impact on contemporary societies.

This group is connected to a network of researchers that acts like an advisory board to give input from a diversity of perspectives and research fields:

  • Tanja Aitamurto, PhD, is Deputy Director of the Brown Institute for Media Innovation at the School of Engineering at Stanford University.
  • Jaap Kamps PhD, associate professor of Information Retrieval at the Faculty of Humanities, the Institute for Logic, Language, and Computation, the University of Amsterdam.
  • Larsson, Aron, Docent, Department of Computer and Systems Sciences, Stockholm University.
  • Cecilia Magnusson Sjöberg,  Professor and Director of the Law & Informatics Research Unit at Stockholm University (IRI).
  • Liane Colonna, PhD, the Law & Informatics Research Unit at Stockholm University (IRI).
